Business in America

Sales of Atlas Shrugged have skyrocketed this year. Here is a good analytical comparison of the current state of doing business in America and Rand's famous novel.

Happy 4th of July.

People either love or hate Atlas Shrugged. The story is great, but there are a few passages that some readers find to long and "preachy," that need to be read slowly and require some contemplation.

I find it amazing that Rand wrote this, not in her native Russian, but in English, her second language. The writing alone is well worth reading the book, and the philosophy behind the story is even more worthwhile.
