Tuesday Titillation

This is old news, but it is worth repeating this time of year.

In an odor study of men ages 16-64, done in the1990s by Dr. Alan R. Hirsch, who directs the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago, the number one odor that enhanced penile blood flow was a combination of lavender and pumpkin pie, and pumpkin pie was the strongest stimulant on its own.

Other scents and their effects were:
•Lavender and pumpkin pie: 40%
•Doughnut and black licorice: 31.5%
•Doughnut and cola: 12.5%
•Lily of the valley: 11%
•Buttered popcorn: 9%
Forget about smothering yourself in cranberry sauce.  (Cranberry - 2%)

If your man doesn't like pumpkin pie and is strictly a meat-eater, you could always wear a meat dress like Lady Gaga as long as he likes things rare.

Otherwise, try some Burger King "Flame" cologne that smells like cooked flame-broiled meat

and hand him a bottle of pumpkin ale

Football half-time on Thanksgiving Day could be better than the game itself.

  1. LOLOLOL!!!

You NEVER cease to amaze me!!

    I LOVE this post!!!

You know, I had sinus surgery a few years ago... right around Thanksgiving time... and it dawned on me that I couldn't smell the turkey cooking!!! Something had happened and I have lost most of my sense of smell... :o(

That does come in handy for cooking and sex...

  2. I'm not convinced. Whatever benefits the pumpkin pie might do to blood flow would be offset by the images of little old ladies that the lavender induces. I wonder how the licorice would work without the doughnut. I suppose further research is needed.

  4. Oh dear lord....as if the BK wasn't freaky enough in his commercials. I mean, he has pajama parties with construction workers for cripes sake, but that picture....wrong and creepy on sooo many levels. I may have to sleep with the lights on. LOL

  6. shoes: My husband's sense of smell is almost gone due to severe allergies, so pumpkin pie doesn't work with him.

crock: The current opinions on this is that the aromas evoke pleasant memories and that is the real cause of the additional blood flow. So if one had a pleasant experience with cow manure, I supposed that odor would induce the blood flow, too.

gls: Let us all know if it achives the desired results.

Stacy: The BK King smelling like meat and half naked in front of a fireplace is everyone's nightmare.

rabbit: Lavender and pumpkin pie may remind men of their mothers and induce some type of Oedipal reaction. ;-)

  7. Well, to point out the elephant in the room: I'm not surprised pie increases erectile blood flow.
