And it won't come back to haunt him
You know you're married to a fantastic woman when you can go to a University of Illinois basketball game with some guys on your wedding anniversary and you don't even have to ask permission to do so.
I don't think you are one of a kind. I would think most people around here understand Illini basketball and football trumps any other occasion.
Heck, the only thing that would irritate me about the situation as presented is being left behind. I wouldn't miss an Illini game for almost anything. I will admit to missing one last year after my foot was run over by a car a few days before. I was just in too much pain to climb to the the eighteenth row in C section, but by the next game my cane and I were good to go.
trueself: I was brought up in a family so sports crazy that every family vacation was planned around team schedules in various cities we'd be passing through. I grew up resenting sports ruling my life, so now I never go to the games and feel blessed that no one can force me to go.
